Fans have to watch out for Liz (Megan Boone) in the new season of "The Blacklist" especially when it comes to her loyalty.

"The Blacklist" Season 8 is premiering Friday and executive producer Jon Bokenkamp spoke about the new installment ahead of its debut with Entertainment Tonight.

In a teaser, Liz admits that the neighbor she befriended is her mom, Katarina, but she assures her friends and colleagues that she is still 100% on their side. Many are wondering if she can be trusted because of this move.

"Is she to be trusted? That's a good question," Bokencamp told ET.

"She's committed to finding out the answers she's always been wanting. So that commitment, in her mind, she'll do whatever it takes to get the answers. So can she be trusted? I think she probably would mislead people, even people close to her to get what she's looking for. At this point, there's very little that she wouldn't do even to people she cares a great deal about in order to find the answer she's looking for."

He reminded fans that the show has always been about the characters finding their identities and the new season will stick to that. For those following the series, there has been a lot of speculations about Liz's relationship with Raymond Reddington (James Spader). There are rumors that he is her dad but this theory remains uncertain with Katarina (Laila Robins) saying in the last season she didn't know Reddington and that he is not Ilya Koslov, her dad. The revelation shocked Liz and left fans wondering who Reddington really is.

"The show has always been so much about identity. Who people are presenting themselves to be, who they are, how they're changing and how that identity fits into the landscape of the show and the different characters. If anything, this season, because of Katarina and Liz and their quest, it's ultimately about truth," Bokenkamp added.

"It's about answers and getting to the kinds of big, meaty reveals that we haven't really ever been able to do before. If there's an overarching theme, it's truth.”

"The Blacklist" wasn't able to finish its last three episodes in the last season, so they will be launching them with the new season with acceleration and urgency to pick up where they left things off.

"The Blacklist" Season 8 premieres Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
