Blackpink sent Blinks into a frenzy Saturday after landing on the cover of Vogue Korea's June 2021 issue. Members of the K-pop supergroup looked stunning in their coordinating black and white ensembles.
Vogue Korea also released solo covers for Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé.
Devoted supporters of the "How You Like That" singers took to social media to express their delight after seeing Blackpink on the publication's cover. As expected, the covers garnered thousands of likes just a few hours after being released on social media.
On its Instagram account, Vogue Korea credited Heejune Kim as the photographer, Zoohyun Lee as the beauty editor, Hyunji Nam as the fashion editor and Minhee Park as the stylist of the photoshoot. The publication also acknowledged Seonyeong Lee, Myunsun Lee and Eunkyoung Park for taking care of the girls' hair, makeup and nails.
Blackpink also stunned their fans when they appeared on the cover of Vogue Korea in March 2020. At the time, Petra Collins photographed Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé, who collaborated with Chanel, Bvlgari, Dior and YSL Saint Laurent, respectively.
Blackpink added another color to its already colorful banner when Gold House included the YG Entertainment-formed group on its 2021 Most Impactful Asians and Pacific Islanders list Sunday.
The organization lauded Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé for the countless achievements they have had since their launch on Aug. 8, 2016. On its official website, Gold House acknowledged "Square One," which carried the chart-topping tracks "Whistle" and "Boombayah," as one of the most successful K-pop albums of all time.
Blackpink's success, which came shortly after their debut, helped them clinch the New Artist of the Year awards at the 26th Seoul Music Awards and the 31st Golden Disc Awards. The all-girl group also became the highest-charting female Korean act on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Moreover, Blackpink was the first and the only K-pop girl group to ever enter and dominate the Billboard Emerging Artists chart. The group behind the hit song "Ice Cream" was also named as the first female K-pop group to have four No. 1 singles on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart.
Other celebrities who made it to the 2021 Most Impactful Asians and Pacific Islanders list include Grammy and Oscar-winning songstress H.E.R, singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, actress and activist Olivia Munn, actor-author Simu Liu, Grammy award-winning musician Anderson Paak and rapper-songwriter Saweetie.
