Blackpink Rosé Receives Birthday Cake From Fans During 'Born Pink' Show In Abu Dhabi
Blackpink fans treated Rosé to an elaborate three-tier cake during the girl group's "Born Pink" show in Abu Dhabi Sunday.
Roseann Park, known on stage as Rosé, is celebrating her 26th birthday on Feb. 11. The "Pink Venom" singer received an early treat from loyal supporters, known as Blinks, who trooped to Etihad Park in Yas Island to witness all four members return to the concert stage as this generation's biggest girl group.
As seen in a video posted on Twitter by a fan, Lisa, Jennie and Jisoo joined Rosé and gathered in front of the birthday cake to wish her a happy birthday. The adorable pink cake was decorated with dog and goldfish toppers in reference to Rosé's beloved pets — her dog Hank and her fish Joohwangie.
In the tweet, Lisa can be heard asking, "How is Joohwangie?"
The New Zealand-born K-pop artist replied, "Joohwangie is really good. He's healthy."
Rosé previously had another pet, a goldfish named Eunhee who died in 2018.
Blinks have always wanted to know how Rosé's pets are doing ever since Eunhee died. One fan even checked on Joowangie during the group's concert in Ontario, Canada, in November 2022.
"ROSIE INTERACTED WITH US LIKE 4 TIMES MY HEART IS SO FULL (THIS WAS MY IDEA). BORN PINK NORTH AMERICA," one fan noted as they tweeted a clip of the girl group during their performance alongside a cardboard sign that read, "Rosie, is Joohwangie still alive?"
Rosé's latest update made her fans happy, but some Blinks could not believe the fish is still alive.
"Joohwangie is 5-6 yrs old now and his having a happy life with Rosé, thats unfair...if i cant marry Rosé, I'll marry Joodhwangie I guess," one fan joked.
Another said, "pretty sure someone is replacing that aquarium with a new joohwangie every time something happens and when she is out of town."
One commenter could not believe what they just heard and wrote, "There is no way that fish is alive."
Meanwhile, Blackpink has set six new Guinness records, its management agency, YG Entertainment, said Friday.
Blackpink received Guinness awards for being the first K-pop female group to reach No. 1 on the albums charts in the U.S. and the U.K. with its second full-length album, "Born Pink," released in September 2022. The group also previously received the Best Metaverse Performance award at MTV's 2022 Video Music Awards (VMAs) for its in-game concert, "Blackpink the Virtual," on PUBG Mobile.
Meanwhile, Lisa bagged three more Guinness records as a solo artist: Best K-pop artist at the VMAs as well as the MTV Europe Music Awards and K-pop artist with the most followers on Instagram, with 86.3 million followers.
