KEY POINTS

- Recently, he shared a snippet of a track he's been working on
- The said track included vocals from Blackpink member Lisa
It seems like DJ Snake and Blackpink member Lisa's collaboration is happening. The French record producer shared Thursday a snippet of the track he has been working on with the K-pop idol.
With Lisa and Blackpink's official Instagram accounts tagged on the clip, fans believe that the collaboration is really coming. The four-second Instagram story also featured vocals, apparently from Lisa, against a clip of an audio workstation that showed two soundtracks labeled as "Guide HARM" and "LISA_CHO DB," reported Koreaboo.
According to reports, the "CHO" in "LISA_CHO DB" possibly refers to the chorus of the song. However, some K-netizens claim that Cho DB is also the nickname of (G)I-DLE's main rapper, Miyeon.
DJ Snake has been teasing fans about recording a song with Blackpink. The "Middle" hitmaker first hinted at a possible collaboration with the YG Entertainment-formed group in 2019.
When a fan asked him if he would make a song with Blackpink, DJ Snake swiftly answered, "Yes." The record producer's confirmation came just weeks after he was snapped with Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé at one of their "In Your Area" concerts.
However, many fans wondered why DJ Snake was not featured on his second studio album titled "Carte Blanche," which was released on July 26, 2019. His followers then raised the question on his Instagram to which he replied, "Schedule didn't work for this album."
DJ Snake continued hyping up his avid supporters when he shared on Twitter in January 2020 that he made something with Blackpink. However, the "Taki Taki" hitmaker revealed that the collaboration was never completed.
Earlier this month, DJ Snake teased his fans again when he confirmed that he was brewing something with Blackpink's Lisa. At the time, the record producer even claimed that the track was already done.
Interestingly, DJ Snake has deleted all his tweets about his collaboration with the Blackpink member, making fans skeptical.
As for the Thai rapper, she has refused to give details about her upcoming solo debut since she is not allowed to spill anything as of yet.
YG Entertainment previously revealed that Blackpink member Lisa would release her first-ever solo album within this year. Most, if not all, fans know that Jennie and Rosé also made their solo debut on Nov. 12, 2018, and March. 12, 2021, respectively.
