Blake Lively Opens Up About Marriage, Family Life With Ryan Reynolds

Contrary to what most believe, Blake Lively does not have a perfect life with Ryan Reynolds.

Lively, 29, will grace the September 2017 issue of Glamour and during her interview with the magazine, she opened up about her family life and marriage with the “Deadpool” star, 40. One of the first things Glamour touched on was Reynolds’ heartwarming social media posts about his family. When Lively was asked what she thought about her husband’s amazing posts on Twitter regarding their family life, her response was hilarious. “He may as well work for the Enquirer,” Lively told Glamour, adding that “everything was a made up scenario.”

Reynolds is good at making her laugh, but she loves him more when he writes about sweet things about their family. “I mean, I’m in love with him most of the time, but especially with that,” the “Gossip Girl” star said.

When asked why she only said “most of the time” and not “always,” Lively explained that this was intentional. “I said, ‘Most of the time,’ because if I say, ‘I’m so in love with him all the time,’ then you get that eye-rolling,” she shared. “Oh, her life is so great, she’s so perfect. So it’s, like, my defense mechanism.” However, Lively is aware that she also needs to learn to stop being defensive.

When it comes to conflicts, Lively changed her original approach when she married Reynolds. “The Age of Adeline” star used to call her girlfriends or sister when she has relationship problems and ask for advice. However, with Reynolds, she approaches him and tells him how she feels. “We were friends for two years before we were ever dating. And I treat him like my girlfriend,” Lively said about her husband. “I’m like, ‘Hey, this happened. It upset me. This is how I feel. What do I do?’ And he does the same for me. He treats me like his best buddy.”

Meanwhile, Lively and Reynolds are parents to 2-year-old James and 10-month-old Ines. However, the two still make sure that they have time for each other. Last week, Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Joe Alwyn were spotted in Rhode Island having a double date with the couple.

Last year, when Swift threw a Fourth of July party, the “Shake It Off” singer also invited Lively and Reynolds. Swift was still with Tom Hiddleston at the time, and the group even made a fun memory in this photo.
