Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert Divorce: ‘Over You’ Singer Cheated On Husband Twice, Report Says
Country singers Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce Monday after four years of marriage, setting rumor mills abuzz with infidelity speculation. The couple’s fans on Twitter suspected Shelton of cheating on Lambert. But, according to a report on Tuesday, it was the “Little Red Wagon” singer who cheated on her 39-year-old husband.
Shelton suspected 31-year-old Lambert of cheating on him with country singer Chris Young, TMZ reported, citing multiple sources. Young and Lambert, who became friends a few years ago, were spotted in the public from time to time. But, Young was not solely responsible for the divorce since Lambert was also seen with another man, who was not identified, the report added.
However, a report from the New York Post’s Page Six stated that the couple separated for an entirely different reason. Shelton was reportedly keen on having children, unlike Lambert. “He is eager to have children, but she really enjoys not being tied down. I think they both were off on what the time frame would be,” a source told Page Six.
Apart from this, the two reportedly could not spend enough time with each other because of Lambert’s tight work schedule. “They are never together, and he was wanting them to move close to being together. She really loves her career and touring. She has the ability to go and record albums when she wants and to tour,” the source added.
The couple, who also signed a prenuptial agreement, did not give any reason for their separation. “This is not the future we envisioned,” they reportedly said in a statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Shelton and Lambert tied the knot in 2011 after six years of dating, and do not have any children.
