Blake Shelton’s New Album Will Be About Divorce With Miranda Lambert, Relationship With Gwen Stefani: Report
Blake Shelton’s upcoming album will be all about his personal life, divorce from Miranda Lambert and new relationship with Gwen Stefani, the country singer told Country Countdown USA radio station. Shelton and Lambert filed for divorce in July 2015.
“I’ve written more than I’ve written in 15 years, for obvious reasons -- all the awful things that have happened in my personal life -- but the way the year ended is also the greatest of my life. If I got hit by a truck, the label would have enough for a new album,” Shelton told Country Countdown USA in an interview.
Shelton and 46-year-old Stefani recently got romantically involved after they sparked dating rumors on the sets of “The Voice.” The two are reportedly enjoying dating and spending time together.
“Sometimes you don’t know who’s in your life that can save you,” Shelton told the radio station. “I found some people in my life that have changed my life forever. Some has been bad, and some that’s been pretty good. I’m doing what I’m supposed to do, and that’s put all I’ve gone through and put it into music, and I never felt more connected to a record before. When people hear this record, they may not know what happened to me, but they’re gonna know how I felt about it. And that’s exciting for me, to just lay it out there for people,” the 39-year-old “Sangria” singer added.
Although Shelton’s upcoming album will not hit the shelves until May, the country singer is planning to release a single this month.
Meanwhile, Shelton’s girlfriend Stefani reportedly is trying for a baby with him. "The Sweet Escape" singer already has three sons with Rossdale -- Kingston Rossdale, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale. However, it may reportedly be too risky for her to give birth to a fourth child at the age of 46.
Shelton and Stefani spent the Christmas weekend together in Glendale, Arizona, and watched an NFL game. Stefani also posted photos from their trip on her Twitter account.
