‘Blindspot’
Will Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton), Zapata (Audrey Esparza), Patterson (Ashley Johnson), Jane (Jaimie Alexander) or Nas (Archie Panjabi) be killed off in “Blindspot” Season 2, episode 18? NBC

“Blindspot” Season 2 executive producer Martin Gero recently confirmed that there will be more deaths in the hit NBC series. But is it possible that one main character will be killed off in episode 18?

In “Senile Lines,” Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and his team will struggle to defend themselves amid the return of their old rival. Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Weitz (Aaron Abrams) will be back, and he’s ready to destroy Kurt, Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Nas (Archie Panjabi).

Matthew was first introduced in “Blindspot” last season as the attorney who investigated Bethany Mayfair’s (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) misconduct. He was also the one responsible for bugging Zapata’s (Audrey Esparza) home to get information on Kurt and his team. Now that he’s back, Matthew is out for blood, and he won’t think twice about killing his enemies.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gero said that they have decided to write exciting storylines for Kurt. But these new twists will have implications on the people he’s closest to. “We’re backing Shepherd into a corner, and Shepherd is a dangerous wild animal, so when you back a wild animal into a corner, people are going to get hurt,” he said. When asked if this means someone could die, Gero simply said, “yes.”

Meanwhile, actress Mary Stuart Masterson has been tapped to star in the finale episode for “Blindspot” Season 2. According to TV Guide, there’s a mysterious new leader who will take over Kurt’s team. The major shake-up will send Kurt, Jane, Patterson (Ashley Johnson), Zapata, Reade (Rob Brown) and Nas into a frenzy. As of late, it is still unclear whether or not Masterson will be giving life to the controversial character.

“Blindspot” Season 2, episode 18 will air on NBC on April 5 at 8 p.m. EST.
