Blink 182 auction personal items for Japan relief efforts
Whenever the world is hit with a natural disaster or catastrophe, celebrities usually are the first ones to offer their help.
Following the devastating 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that shocked Japan, celebrities are finding ways to lend a helping hand.
Blink 182 singer Mark Hoppus has pulled some very personal items from his closet to auction off for charity on eBay.
The highest bid so far is for the original hand-written lyric sheets for the song Rock Show. While there are several days left for the auction, the highest bid is currently at $17,000.
Other items to be auctioned include the orange sweater Hoppus wore in the Dammit video, which is currently going for $2,200, the Blink 182 dressing froom sign from the MTV Video Music Awards which is going for $3,000 and a What's My Age Again promo CD which is going for $2,025.
Hoppus will be adding more items in the near future.
100 percenrt of the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.
