‘Blood Drive’ Season 1 Spoilers: Episode 8 Synopsis, Trailer Released

Arthur (Alan Ritchson), Grace (Christina Ochoa) and the Scholar (Darren Kent) are forced to stop by Red River in Season 1, episode 8 of “Blood Drive.”

In a sneak peek from next week’s episode of the Syfy series, a cop pulls the trio over for speeding. “Good afternoon. You folks in a hurry,” asks the cop.

“Sorry officer,” Arthur politely replies. “We’re just trying to make some time in the back roads.”

When Grace asks if they’re under arrest, the cop says, “Not yet but I clocked you at 92 [miles per hour].”

In an attempt to get away from the cop, Arthur apologizes once again and mentions that he’s also a police officer in Los Angeles. But instead of letting them go, the arresting cop comes up with a selfish idea.

“I could use some help, police help,” the cop tells the trio.

When Grace refuses to offer their help, the cop points out that there’s only one road ahead and it runs right through Red River. The cop then reveals that he’s the sheriff of Red River so the trio would either help him out with his problem or they wouldn’t ever pass through his town.

According to the synopsis for the episode, the Red River sheriff needs help to free his town. While the synopsis doesn’t specify why the Red River residents need saving, the show’s page on the Syfy website reveals that there’s currently a civil war in the town.

As seen in the trailer for the episode, Red River looks like a Wild West village, and it appears that there’s going to be a life-and-death duel at the end of the installment.

Arthur and Grace’s arrival in Red River is no accident. As revealed at the end of Season 1, episode 7, Slink (Colin Cunningham) instructed his underling, Rasher (Carel Nel), to change the coordinates for Arthur and Grace.

“Take them through Red River,” Slink tells Rasher.

“That brings them to the edge of the Scar. I thought we weren’t supposed to kill Grace,” Rasher curiously replies.

“What Heart doesn’t know won’t hurt us,” the Master of Mayhem coyly says.

Will Grace’s “Blood Drive’s” journey end in Red River? Only time will tell.
