Bobbi Kristina Brown Funeral Update: Aunt Leolah Pens New Cryptic Facebook Post About Tyler Perry
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Aunt Leolah, took to Facebook Thursday to address rumors that she was thrown out of her neice’s funeral by family friend Tyler Perry. Leolah, the sister of Bobby Brown, slammed the gossip and said that her real beef is with Pat Houston, the sister of late pop legend Whitney Houston.
“As it was and as it will always be; Tyler Perry is loved and respected by me and he is also considered a friend of mine from this day on,” Leolah said about the Hollywood director.
She then promised to explain what “truly” happened at the funeral at a future date: “As far as me being ‘put’ out of the funeral with the help of Tyler Perry -- that is not true. I will tell the true story and how it ‘really’ went down.”
Leolah didn’t say when she would provide this information, but she vowed to give her side of the story, especially when it comes to Pat. “Lastly, Please be aware that this is not over with Mrs. Pat Watson Garland [Houston] and I. There is so much more to come. The world will hear the truth by me. Make no mistake about that,” she wrote, finishing the post.
This type of post is typical for Leolah. She was vocal throughout Bobbi Kristina's hospitalization and wrote several posts after she died. Leolah has a deep disdain for Pat and regulary accuses her of lying.
Bobbi Kristina died at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia, on July 26. She was 22. More than a week later, she was buried in Westfield, New Jersey, near her late mother.
Bobbi Kristina's death came after six months of hospitalization. She was found unresponsive and facedown in a bathtub in her Roswell, Georgia, home. Though initially ruled an accident, the incident was upgraded to a homicide after her tragic death. Her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, is a person of interest but has not been charged with a crime.
