Bobbi Kristina Brown Hospital Update: ‘Husband’ Nick Gordon Not Allowed At Bedside: Report

As Bobbi Kristina Brown continues to fight for her life in an Atlanta hospital, rumors swirled that her husband Nick Gordon is not allowed at her bedside. Brown’s family is reportedly upset with Gordon and does not want him around the daughter of late singer Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, Hollywood Life reported Tuesday.

Bobby Brown issued an official statement where he asked for privacy, but Gordon has not spoken out in public. In fact, it’s been rumored Brown and her husband are not officially married because no marriage certificate has been seen publicly.

One of the reasons Brown’s family does not trust Gordon is that he apparently used her inheritance to buy himself presents after Houston died three years ago. “He bought a bunch of expensive cars and extravagant gifts for himself with Krissy’s inheritance. Nobody there trusts him,” a source told Hollywood Life.

“There is a lot of tension whenever Nick comes around,” an insider told the news site. “He wants to be more involved, but the family is basically shutting him out. Bobby and Whitney’s family don’t like him one bit.”

It was Gordon and a friend who found Brown, 21, face down in her bathtub Saturday. She was rushed to the hospital, but reportedly has “alarmingly low” brain function after she was apparently submerged in water for 2 to 5 minutes.

“Krissy’s family would like to have Nick out of the picture,” an insider told Radar Online. "They believe that he is very manipulative and they would like to find some way to knock him out of the box.” Brown reportedly has a $20 million estate.

Even though it was said Gordon might have played a role in Brown’s incident, his aunt, Lisa Gordon, told Radar Online he was not involved. “There is always going to be a finger pointed at someone when it is this serious,” she said. “But we are here to support him.”

Gordon grew up with Brown as Houston’s unofficial adopted son. Their relationship soon blossomed into a romantic one, and they were later married.

“It’s sad what happened,” Gordon’s aunt added. “Other than that, we are here to support Nicholas and here to support him through his pain.”

In a statement, her family said: “Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. ... As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time.”
