Bobbi Kristina Brown Intervention: Houston Family Tried, But It Failed
Well, ya gotta give 'em credit for trying! Concerned that Bobbi Kristina Brown may end up with the same fate as the late Whitney Houston, a few of her family members flew to Atlanta for an intervention – but as with most, they couldn't seem to get through to Bobbi Kris. At least, that's what Star magazine is saying, writes Radar Online, its sister website.
Bobbi Kristina's aunt Patricia apparently showed up with a few family members at the Atlanta house where Whitney lived and Bobbi Kristina is still staying and tried to perform an intervention, but despite quite a few tears shed by members of her family, Bobbi Kristina was not moved to action.
Everyone is worried sick about Krissy, a source told Star. Her aunt Pat got a number of her friends and family to come to Atlanta and have a serious talk with her about her sobriety, but to no avail.
The family even got Whitney Houston's longtime music industry friend Clive Davis to try to appeal to B.K.'s professional ambitions. Clive keeps telling Bobbi she needs to go to rehab, and that if she does, he'll help launch her music career, wrote Star.
The gossip rag didn't mention cocaine – Whitney's drug of choice – but did say that Bobbi Kristina had been drinking, smoking marijuana, and popping prescription pills. Whitney's autopsy revealed that when she died, she had Xanax, Valium, alcohol, marijuana, and cocaine in her system.
Complicating Bobbi Kristina's recovery is the presence of adoptive brother-cum-boyfriend Nick Gordon. Cissy Houston, the family matriarch and Krissy's grandmother, was reportedly livid about the relationship – what they're doing is incestuous! she's reported to have said – and there have been reports that Nick Gordon supplied drugs to Whitney and Bobbi Kristina.
The National Enquirer claimed that Nick Gordon was their drug dealer on the over of one of its issues, although was a much less incidendiary claim about him merely being a non-profit go-between – a much less insidious accusation. (And let's be honest – if there's anyone in the U.S. who can score drugs, it's Whitney's daughter!)
