Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Bobby Brown Says Daughter Is ‘Good’; Responds To False Reports
It’s been nearly a week since Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was rushed to a Georgia hospital after being found unresponsive in her bathtub. Following her admittance to the ICU at North Fulton Hospital Saturday, a lot of speculation has been swirling about the aspiring songstress’ condition.
However, Bobby Brown set the record straight when he told Access Hollywood outside Atlanta's Emory University Hospital, where his daughter is being treated after being relocated, that Bobbi Kristina is doing well. “She’s good,” he insisted. “We’re praying.”
And that wasn’t the only update Bobby had for the media. Following the Daily Mail’s report about Bobbi Kristina, 21, being taken off of life support, the starlet’s father decided to respond to the gossip surrounding his daughter.
“If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day. This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place," Bobby said in a statement.
Another rumor debunked by the Houston and Brown clan was that despite what the tabloids are reporting, Bobbi Kristina’s family is not preparing to say goodbye. "There is no ‘family gathering’ today that is any different from any other day since [Bobbi Kristina] has been in the hospital. The family has been there since the weekend, so nothing any different today for them to be there than any other day. She is not brain dead, and the Houstons and the Browns are not fighting," the families said in a statement.
TMZ reported that the Brown is quite “hopeful” that his daughter can overcome this grim situation and recover from her incident, which mirrors the way her mother tragically died on Feb. 11, 2012.
