Bobbi Kristina Brown's boyfriend Nick Gordon has written an email to Bobby Brown urging him to let him attend his girlfriend's funeral on Saturday, TMZ reported late Thursday. In the email, which reportedly included Pat Houston -- co-legal guardian of Bobbi Kristina -- Gordon begged Bobby Brown and Pat to allow him to say "goodbye" to the 22-year-old.

Gordon, who is a person of interest in the ongoing investigation over Bobbi Kristina's condition, was not allowed to see her during the nearly six months of her hospitalization. The daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston died on July 26 after remaining in an unresponsive state since Jan. 31.

"I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye,” Gordon reportedly wrote, in the email. "I'm begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance."

Bobbi Kristina’s family will reportedly bury the aspiring actress next to her Grammy Award-winning mother, who died on Feb. 11, 2012. The private funeral will reportedly take place Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia. Her body will then be transported to Westfield, New Jersey, where she will be buried in Fairview Cemetery two days later.

"Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there,” Gordon wrote in the email, according to TMZ.

On Monday, police upgraded Bobbi Kristina's case to a homicide investigation, but no one has been charged so far.

Authorities are trying to determine what happened on the January night that left Bobbi Kristina in a medically induced coma for months, eventually leading to her death. Police are also reportedly investigating her boyfriend Nick Gordon. Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina's family also filed a lawsuit against Gordon, accusing him of abusing the aspiring actress and stealing her money.

Gordon’s mother, Michele, issued a statement on behalf of her son and her family about Bobbi Kristina’s death Monday. “The passing of Bobbi Kristina is devastating to Nick and our family. Nick loved and cared for Krissi deeply, and he has suffered greatly each and every day they’ve been apart,” she said.
