Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Nick Gordon's Arrest Could Be 'Imminent' As Legal Strategy Blasted By Bobby Brown's Lawyer
Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was spotted looking tensed and preoccupied amid rumors that his arrest over his girlfriend’s death could be “imminent,” the Daily Mail reported. The news comes just days after Bobby Brown’s lawyer publicly claimed that Gordon “harmed” Bobbi Kristina Brown.
The Daily Mail obtained photos of Gordon that were recently taken in the gated community in Florida where he lives with his mother, Michelle. The photos, reportedly show Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend looking fit and clean, after reports of his battle with drinking and drugs. In some pictures, Gordon looked distracted and deep in thoughts.
Source told the Daily Mail that police could arrest Gordon any moment after a warrant is issued against him. A Florida police source also said that Gordon could legally be allowed to turn himself in.
“In all likelihood it would be Seminole County that would make the arrest and when there's a question of it coming from another state as this would it's highly unlikely they'd trust him to turn himself in,” the source said. “It would be a minimum of two cars sent and more if they thought there was any question of him resisting.
“And they wouldn't just let him walk in and walk out -- he would have to be processed through court and bailed or spend a night in the cells if it happened too late in the day for the court to sit,” the source added.
Last week, reports surfaced that the Fulton County medical examiner knew what killed the 22-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston, but was ordered by a judge to keep the findings sealed.
While reacting to the news, Bobby Brown’s lawyer, Christopher Brown, said that they welcomed the judge's decision.
“In regards to the civil litigation, we believe we know who harmed Bobbi Kristina Brown and his name is Nick Gordon,” Christopher Brown told Us Weekly. “Mr. Gordon made headlines when he filed his Motion to Dismiss the lawsuit pending in Superior Court that seeks to hold him responsible for 40 Million Dollars in damages. However the Motion was frivolous and instead of having it heard by the Court, he has chosen to withdraw the Motion, ending that matter so that he could avoid having to give his deposition which was scheduled for the day he withdrew the Motion. Mr. Gordon will now have to give his deposition under oath.”
The lawyer also made reference to Gordon’s attempt to have Bobby Brown removed as his daughter’s legal guardian.
"I am not shocked at the withdrawal, as we must keep in mind that Gordon filed a lawsuit to remove Bobby Brown as Bobbi Kristina's guardian, only to withdraw that lawsuit in DeKalb County Probate Court once he was served with a deposition notice,” Christopher Brown reportedly said. “He could have pressed forward with that lawsuit and told us under oath what he believed happened to Bobbi Kristina, but he chose to go in another direction.”
In August, Bobbi Kristina Brown's conservator Bedelia Hargrove filed an amended lawsuit against Gordon, alleging he gave Houston's daughter a "toxic cocktail" shortly before she was found in the bathtub.
Bobbi Kristina died July 26 and was buried Aug. 3 next to her mother in a cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, after remaining in a medically induced coma since January.
