Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: She Was 'Afraid' Of Nick Gordon, 'Always High On Something,' New Book Reveals
People close to the daughter of the late Whitney Houston had reportedly seen the tragedy looming over Bobbi Kristina Brown, who is being treated at Atlanta's DeKalb Medical facility after being found unresponsive in her bathtub in January. A report by Radar Online on Wednesday, citing the new controversial book, “Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame,” by investigative journalist Ian Halperin, revealed details about the 22-year-old's troubled life.
Mojgan Shamar, the vice president of a fitness center near Brown’s home, reportedly told Halperin that Bobbi Kristina “looked like she was on drugs. She looked very thin, very weak.”
A neighbor, cited by Halperin, reportedly said that Bobbi Kristina “was always high on something” but mostly looked like she was high “on heroin.”
A friend named Ella reportedly told Halperin: “When I saw her before her accident she looked like she was on something. She looked like she got much thinner, looked like she was into heavy drugs,” adding: “I felt sad because I don’t think Nick (Gordon) had her best interests at heart.”
Ella's concerns about the aspiring singer’s long-term relationship with Gordon were also voiced by another friend, a DJ, who said: “Nick is bad, bad news brother," adding: “He’s heavy into drinking, heavy into drugs. … I assure you it was Nick who took her down a dark path.”
Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown has not yet allowed Gordon to see his girlfriend in the hospital, stating that he had not divulged details about the day she was found unconscious.
“He acted as if he owned Bobbi,” a friend named Rasheed said, according to Radar Online, adding: “He had her brainwashed. … Nick always got his way. She was afraid of him.”
Another female friend, who identified herself as Bree, reportedly said that Gordon was not loyal to Bobbi Kristina and had often flirted with her. “I can’t believe she was with him for so long,” she said, according to the report, adding: “I really feel sorry for her. She deserved better.”
The latest book, which has been slammed by Bobbi Kristina’s family members, also claimed that she was into drugs since the age of 14 and used heroin, Xanax, marijuana and Roxicodone on a daily basis, along with Gordon. The book also draws parallels between the lives of Bobbi Kristina and her mother, who was found dead in a bathtub in a hotel room at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. According to Houston's autopsy report, she died due to "effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use."
