Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Ex-Boyfriend Nick Gordon Arrested For Domestic Battery

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s ex-boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was recently arrested in Florida for domestic battery and false imprisonment.

According to TMZ, Brown was taken into custody on Saturday, June 10, after his current girlfriend filed a police report saying that Brown beat her the night before. Brown’s girlfriend also told the police officers at the Seminole County Sheriff’s office that the former held her in her home during the altercation. The sheriff’s office confirmed to People that Gordon was still in jail on Saturday afternoon.

In November of last year, Gordon was found civilly liable in the wrongful death of his former girlfriend, Brown. As part of the settlement, he was ordered by a judge to pay $36 million to Brown’s estate. On Jan. 31, 2015, Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, was found unconscious and unresponsive in the bathtub in the home she shared with Gordon.

Two months later, Brown was moved to a medical rehab center before she was transferred to an Atlanta-area hospice facility, where she passed away on July 26, 2015.

Meanwhile, Brown and Gordon’s relationship has been criticized by some of the members of the former’s family. A source told People prior to Brown and Gordon’s wedding that the former’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, was worried about her granddaughter tying the knot with Gordon. There were also rumors suggesting that Brown’s late mom adopted Gordon since he has been living with the Houstons for several years. However, there has been no proof that the “I Will Always Love You” singer adopted him.

In other news, following Brown’s death, her father told the court that his daughter still had dreams of following in her mom’s footsteps. “She was an entertainer. If you were around her, all you would do was laugh. She told a lot of jokes. She was always the life of the party… and anywhere she went. I know she had the talent to be successful,” he said.

Unfortunately, Brown’s dream can no longer come true. But her dad was relieved over the fact that Gordon was found guilty for killing his daughter.
