Bobby Brown Quits New Edition Tour Due To Health Issues

One of R&B music's best-known bad boys has ditched his New Edition bandmates to focus on his health.

Bobby Brown recently drew some laughs from social media users when a video went viral showing him struggling to keep up during New Edition’s July 2 show in Mississippi. But the 45-year-old appears to be taking his lack of energy very seriously.

According to TMZ, Brown has pulled out of the New Edition tour. His decision came after he underwent an “intrusive medical procedure.”

“I apologize to the fans of New Edition,” the singer said in a statement. “I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give the fans what they typically expect from New Edition.”

Brown, who is the ex-husband of Whitney Houston, was known in the past for a hard partying lifestyle. The singer recently reunited with his and Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, on Father’s Day. Bobbi Kristina posted a couple photos of their time together on her Instagram account.
