Bobby Brown Turns 47, Celebrates First Birthday After Death Of Daughter Bobbi Kristina
Bobby Brown rang in his 47th birthday on Friday. But, according to reports, there were no big parties or lavish celebrations thrown to commemorate the big day.
A source dished to E! News that the R&B singer opted to celebrate his birthday quietly at home with his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown, who he married in 2012, and their two children, Cassius and Bodhi.
“Bobby will be remembering the wonderful days with the family that is no longer,” an insider told the outlet. “Krissi [Brown], Whitney [Houston] and his parents.”
Friday marks Brown’s first birthday since the death of his 22-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Brown and Houston’s daughter died in July 2015, six months after she was found unconscious in a bathtub in her Atlanta home.
"Krissy was and is an angel. I am completely numb at this time," the singer said in a statement, which was released by his lawyer, after his daughter's death. "My family must find a way to live with her in spirit and honor her memory. Our loss is unimaginable."
Brown is “doing as good as can be expected” following the death of his daughter, a source divulged to E! News. Perhaps that’s because the day before his birthday, Brown surrounded himself with family and friends. On Thursday, the artist shared a photo to Instagram of himself posing and laughing with a group of friends.
