Bobby Brown’s Wife Gives Birth To Baby Girl Days Before Bobbi Kristina’s Death Anniversary
Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge welcomed a baby girl! The former New Edition singer announced the happy news in an Instagram post.
Posting a photo of himself smiling broadly, Bobby wrote Thursday: “Just had a baby girl 10 pounds.” The couple, who wed in 2012, has not released any other details about their little bundle of joy, including her name. Bobby and Etheredge’s baby girl is the third child for them. They are also parents to a 7-year-old son named Cassius and 12-month-old daughter named Bodhi.
Etheredge has stayed silent on the baby news, but last week she posted a beautiful Instagram picture from a maternity photoshoot, writing that she will always cherish that moment. “#love #pregnant #amazing #almostover #willalwayscherishthesemoments #gratitude #3 isthenumber,” she wrote.
The baby news comes just a few days before the one-year anniversary of the death of Bobby’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Bobbi Kristina died at the age of 22 on July 26, 2015, six months after she was discovered facedown and unconscious in a bathtub at her Georgia home. Bobbi Kristina’s death was eerily similar to her mom Whitney Houston’s death. The legendary singer died in February 2012 after being found facedown in a tub at the Beverly Hilton hotel on the eve of the Grammy awards.
Last month, the “My Prerogative” singer opened up about his daughter’s death, telling Robin Roberts in a “20/20” special that he and Houston failed Bobbi Kristina. “We should have been better,” he said. “We could have been better.”
Bobby also said the last thing he told his child was that it was OK for her to go and be with her mom. “I just said, ‘Let go.’ I said, ‘It’s OK, you can go with your mom. Daddy’ll be all right. I love you. You can rest now,’” he told Roberts. “Hardest thing I had to do in my life was tell my daughter to let go … I don’t wish that on my worst enemy or any enemy. That is the worst pain in the world.”
