Bobby Petrino Motorcycle Crash: Arkansas Coach Suffered Broken Ribs, Strained Neck
Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino is in stable condition in the hospital after a motorcycle accident on Sunday night.
Petrino, 51, suffered multiple broken, ribs, cuts and bruises, and a strained neck from the accident, according to Arkansas beat writer Thomas Murphy.
The school released a statement on Monday morning that Petrino is expected to make a full recovery from the accident.
Coach Petrino was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening that involved no other individuals, the school said. He is in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery. Our family appreciates respect for our privacy during the recovery and we are grateful for the thoughts of Razorback fans at this time.
It's unclear what caused the one-car accident or whether it will cause Petrino to miss time during spring practice. Arkansas police say that the motorcycle veered off a highway near Crosses in Madison County, Ark.
The Razorbacks are expected to be one of the top teams in the country this year after finishing last season ranked fifth in the country.
