Florida police on Tuesday morning found the bodies of two men who washed up along the beach in Fort Lauderdale's opulent Galt Mile district.

While details about the victims have not been released, they were both described as men in their 40s. The first body was seen wearing a brown t-shirt and jeans while the second was wearing a yellow t-shirt and brown pants.

While the cause of death has not been identified, police said they found multiple stab wounds on the bodies and have called the deaths "suspicious." Detective Ali Adamson said police don’t believe the public is in any imminent danger.

As police and the Broward County Medical Examiner locked down the scene, police turned their attention to a white Jeep Wrangler Unlimited around 9:15 a.m.

Fort Lauderdale police chased the suspect up Interstate 95 and were joined by Florida Highway Patrol before stopping the driver. Adamson said at least 12 police cruisers were involved in the chase before stopping the driver, whose name has not been released. Adamson did not say if the driver was connected to the discovery of the bodies.

Police said the names of the victims will be released after notifying next of kin. Police asked anyone who heard or witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
