Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) has named Dennis Muilenberg, current head of the Defense division, as the new Chief Operating Officer of the overall parent company, according to a Reuters report on Wednesday. Further media reports have suggested that the appointment makes Miulenberg the "heir apparent" to the current chief executive, Jim McNerney.
Muilenberg's replacement will be Chris Chadwick, who heads Boeing's military aircraft unit, according to the report.
