‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Bill Pleads with Liam For Forgiveness
His plan to confront his father over the things he’s done to him took an unexpected turn when Bill seemed remorseful. Now, Liam will be stunned when Bill asks him for forgiveness on the Thursday, August 9 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Liam (Scott Clifton) went to confront Bill (Don Diamont) about his most recent actions, which involved trying to convince Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to marry him so she could get his Forrester shares. In the end on the CBS soap, Steffy backed out of the marriage, but Bill still gave her the shares anyway. Liam was furious that his father had done that after his endless prior attempts to steal Steffy away. However, much to his surprise, Bill acknowledged how wrong he was, admitting he had let his obsession with Steffy get the best of him, and that he had acted like his own father.
Knowing he acted in a way he shouldn’t, Bill will apologize to Liam and admit how wrong he was as he asks for forgiveness over the many things he’s done. However, Liam will likely be reluctant to accept an apology from his father, because it Isn't the first time they’ve had a similar conversation.
“I promise you that I will be a better father to my children than you’ve been to me,” he says in a preview clip for the episode.
Realizing that his actions may have actually damaged his relationship with Liam beyond repair this time, Bill will then caution his son, telling him to not continue the cycle when it comes to hatred for a family member because of what it would continue doing.
“Don’t hate me the way that I hated my father,” Bill says in the clip. “Don’t turn out like me.”
Whether or not Liam decides to heed that advice or not remains to be seen, but no matter what Bill says, it likely won’t fix their relationship anytime soon. Still, it could be a path in the right direction if there’s even a tiny glimmer of hope towards a future reconciliation.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
