‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Katie Questions If She Should Keep Lying To Eric About Quinn

She had a prime opportunity and new motive for exposing Quinn’s secret to Eric, but didn’t take it. Now, Katie will begin to wonder if lying to Eric about his wife’s activities with his son is still the best decision for her to make on the Thursday, June 1 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Katie (Heather Tom) is one of a select few who knows the truth about what exactly happened between Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Quinn (Rena Sofer), and the affair they engaged in behind Eric’s (John McCook) back on the CBS soap. Though it had consisted only of kisses, it was enough for Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to call off her wedding to Ridge and marry Bill (Don Diamont) instead, and for Katie to decide to take action against Quinn.

After revealing what she knows, Katie has virtually blackmailed Quinn and Ridge into giving her whatever she wants, including a job at Forrester, where she has been working on the jewelry line with Quinn. After Quinn told her her work wasn’t good enough to be unveiled with the newest Forrester collection, Katie considered revenge by telling Eric about the affair, though she opted out. Now, back at the office, she will discuss the matter further with Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer), who also knows about the affair, repeating that she has concerns about what is really happening at the Forrester Mansion, where Eric, Quinn and Ridge are all living.

“Being close with his father? Great,” Katie says in a preview clip. “Being close with his father’s wife? Not so much.”

Ivy will implore Katie to drop the matter completely once again, because she, like everyone else, is afraid of the truth getting out further, because of what Eric went through health wise shortly after marrying Quinn. The stress of everyone not supporting his marriage led to his having a massive brain hemorrhage, and he nearly died. Everyone is genuinely worried that learning his wife had been even the tiniest bit unfaithful with his son could kill him.

However, Katie will question if that logic is genuinely sound anymore, because her experience has seen lies never working out for the better when it comes to either her, or the people she loves, and she will question if lying to Eric is the best thing to keep doing for him anymore.

“Lying to people for their own good has caused more misery than the cold, hard truth ever has,” she says.

Of course, Katie might be on to something, because while everyone also thinks there is no need to tell Eric because Ridge and Quinn stopped everything they had done, the reality has since changed. Ridge and Quinnhad ended everything between them, but now, after Quinn went to him over Katie’s new threats, their passionate hatred for one another took over, and they’re currently making out on his bed, potentially about to have sex for the first time.
