'Bold And The Beautiful' Spoilers: Ridge And Brooke Seek Answers

Brooke was stunned when she went to Steffy and Liam's house and saw Steffy in an emotional state where she was clearly upset about something. Now, she, as well as Ridge, will start to seek answers to questions they didn't know they should have been asking on the Thursday, Jan. 18 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) went to Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to see if she would be her maid of honor at her upcoming marriage to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), but was shocked when Steffy told her that she couldn't. Steffy then admitted she and Liam (Scott Clifton) had split up on the CBS soap, and Brooke will now want answers as to why they were ripped apart this time, and what could have happened that makes this split so different from the ones of their past.

Now, Steffy will tread carefully, as she considers whether or not to tell Brooke the truth--that she slept with Bill (Don Diamont), who is not only Liam's father, but also Brooke's very recent ex-husband. When she seems hesitant to give Brooke answers, the other woman will continue to press the issue, noting that Steffy has never been this hurt before.

"I've never seen you like this before," she says in a preview clip.

Meanwhile, Ridge is wondering why it was surprisingly so easy to get Bill to sign the annulment papers, which cleared the way for Ridge and Brooke to marry. He, as well as everyone else, had been expecting Bill to fight for Brooke, like he'd been doing for years, and the fact that he didn't has raised questions about whether or not there's a new woman in his life. Hoping to find out why his enemy seems to be backing down, Ridge will go to Bill, but the other man will only indicate that he felt it was time to move on since Brooke clearly had.

"There's no point in staying married to a woman who is sleeping with you," he says.

However, if Steffy does confide the real truth in Brooke, and she goes to tell Ridge, then Bill will quickly learn that Ridge will be back. And this time, he won't be so cordial to the man who slept with his daughter.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
