‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Ridge And Eric Have A Showdown

His father has said he wants nothing to do with him any longer after learning how he pursued an affair with his wife, but now that Ridge has found Eric’s hideaway, the father and son will be set for a massive showdown on the Thursday, July 27 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) forced Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to tell him where Eric (John McCook) was on the CBS soap, because he was worried about his safety since he has been with Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Though hesitant to tell him anything over fears Eric would want nothing to do with her next for betraying his confidence, Steffy finally told Ridge about the hotel, and he has now arrived at the property to talk things through with his father once and for all.

However, the tensions which have been there between the two for years will all come to the surface when Ridge wants to talk, as he will ask Eric if they can be honest with one another about how they feel—both about their current situation regarding Quinn (Rena Sofer), and their past ones they’ve experienced as well.

“Let’s start being honest with each other. Can we do that?” Ridge asks in the preview clip.

However, asking for honesty could prove to be a dangerous thing, because it will prove just how far he has upset his father this time. While the two have had this issue before, notably with Ridge stealing Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) away when she married to Eric, this new situation with Quinn is the one that might have pushed things too far.

“You took the woman I love more than anything in this world,” Eric says. “You took Quinn from me, because you could.”

The confrontation will prove just how much Eric has been upset by Ridge’s actions, because it’s clear why Ridge did what he did. The worst pain for Eric comes from Quinn because she fell for the ploy, but he remembers Ridge warning him when he married Quinn that he would break them up.

In fact, Ridge did warn that something would happen, because at the time he, and no one else in the Forrester family, trusted Quinn because of her past indiscretions. Ridge was determined to find a way to prove that she would hurt or betray Eric to make sure his father stayed safe.

He took it upon himself to prove it after seeing Quinn naked in the outdoor shower, and started pursuing her so he could catch her trying to have an affair, and expose her to Eric. However, as he moved forward with his plan, he began to respect Quinn more, and some genuine level of attraction did form between the two, which led to more kisses, which were about something else. They were later caught by Brooke in Australia, which led to her calling off her wedding to Ridge, and they only managed to keep their secret until Sheila came to town and learned about it—exposing them to Eric before they could come clean for themselves.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
