‘Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Steffy Hopes For A Miracle

She knows there’s a chance that the baby she’s carrying could belong to either her husband or her father-in-law. Now, Steffy will hope the outcome she truly wants will be the one she gets when she goes to take a paternity test on the Thursday, Dec. 21 episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) hasn’t told Liam (Scot Clifton) about her night with Bill (Don Diamont) on the CBS soap, and never intends to, but she knew she also owed it to Bill to let him know she was pregnant. However, despite informing him of the news, she has been insistent that the baby is Liam’s, though she consented to a paternity test to make sure.

Now, as she awaits the results, she will nervously tell her doctor why she needs the results to turn out the way she hopes.

“This just has to be my husband’s baby,” she says in a preview clip.

Steffy knows if the baby is Bill’s, she will have to come clean to Liam, because Bill won’t allow her to raise the child as his grandson when it is really his son. She also knows that if the truth comes out about their night together, even if the baby is Liam’s, he won’t forgive her, and she will lose him for good. Her marriage literally depends on Liam not knowing what happened, meaning the baby genuinely does need to be his if she’s going to have a chance at letting the past not affect her present and future.

Meanwhile, a clueless Liam will be meeting with his father to discuss work, and it will become clear that something has Bill distracted. In an attempt to keep his son from figuring out what’s really on his mind, Bill will pretend he doesn’t know that Steffy is pregnant, in an attempt to hear it from Liam and get him excited about being a father.

“The last time I saw you, you were, uh, running off to a doctor’s appointment with Steffy,” he says in the clip.

However, if Liam comes clean about the pregnancy and begins to gush once again over his impending fatherhood, it could instead upset Bill more, as he waits to find out if Steffy is carrying his baby. If he decides he will do anything to get what he wants again, then it could prompt him to take shocking actions.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
