‘The Bold Type’ Season 1 Teaser Released By Freeform; Who Are Jane, Sutton And Kat?

Freeform just dropped the official teaser for the upcoming series, “The Bold Type.”

The show will star “Faking It” actress Katie Stevens, “Chasing Life” alum Aisha Dee and “One Life to Live” actress Meghann Fahy as a trio living in New York City. All three are trying to make a name for themselves at fashion magazine Scarlet. According to the network, the three lead characters will rely on each other through their struggles in the workplace and in their personal lives.

In the clip, Stevens’ Jane seems like the leader of the pack. She is gorgeous, confident and assertive. However, in one of the scenes, she ends up drunk and reaches out to Sutton for comfort. The latter, on the other hand, played by Fahy, is very put-together. She seems conservative and shy, but her friends will soon find out that she has been sleeping with a popular man. In the teaser, Jane and Kat confront Sutton regarding her relationship, and she fires back at them by saying that she can date whoever she wants.

Kat seems to be the eldest of the three lead characters. She is very responsible and opinionated. She’s also not afraid to speak her mind even if it would jeopardize her career. “The Bold Type” also stars Sam Page, Matt Ward and Melora Hardin. The series is slated to premiere on Netflix on July 11 at 9 p.m. EST.

Meanwhile, ahead of their upcoming TV show, Stevens was last seen in MTV’s “Faking It,” where she played the role of Karma. Fahy, on the other hand, played the role of Hannah on “One Life to Live,” while Dee played the role of Beth in “Chasing Life.” All three shows have already been canceled by their respective networks.
