‘Bones’ Season 12 Spoilers: Final Season Premiere Photos Released Online; What Will Zack Do With Brennan?

The end of “Bones” is near. Fox shared a series of photos of the Season 12 premiere and it gives away some spoilers.

Last season ended with the abduction of Dr. Temperance Brennan (Emily Deschanel), who was taken away by her former assistant Zack Addy (Eric Millegan). Of course, her husband, FBI Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz), is desperate to find her. However, it remains to be seen if Zack really is the notorious serial killer known as The Puppeteer – a mass murderer that the crime fighters wanted to arrest in Season 11.

Meanwhile, Zack is seen conversing with Brennan in the place that he has held her captive. Shockingly, in another photo, he is seen pointing a needle at her. Brennan is clearly trying to prevent him from sticking it in her. Good luck Brennan!

Of course, it won’t be long before Booth finds his lady love. In one photo, he is seen pointing a gun at someone. However, it looks like Zack isn’t the killer after all because Brennan is seen talking someone down while shielding Zack. Our guess is that Zack isn’t the serial killer and Brennan learns that quickly. When Booth comes crashing at their hideout, she talks him down into putting a bullet in him.

David Boreanaz took to Twitter and hinted that the series finale of “Bones” might not have a fully functioning lab. He shared a photo of Booth staring at a rubble. In another photo the Fox actor shared, he and costar Michaela Conlin (who plays Angela) are seen sporting bruises. In the backdrop, the lab looks destroyed.

“Bones” Season 12 premiere, titled “The Final Chapter: The Hope In The Horror,” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox.
