  • Jones wished she were paid more because she thought she was only doing a documentary
  • The "Borat 2" star denied that she said she felt betrayed in another interview

Jeanise Jones, the babysitter in "Borat 2," has spoken about her experience while filming the project and talked about her pay while addressing the report that she felt betrayed by the makers of the film.

Jones admitted that in her opinion, she wasn't paid enough because she only made $3,600 from the movie. But she made it clear that while she wished she were paid more, it was her fault for not reading the documents she signed before doing the project.

"I can’t say it was fair because they knew it was going to be a movie, and I didn’t," she told Variety about the payment she received.

"I just thought I was doing a documentary about how we do things in America. But I blame myself for not reading when I signed those papers."

She also addressed the report from The New York Post claiming that she felt "betrayed" by the people behind the project because she wasn't aware that they were doing a movie and not a documentary.

"I saw that comment, and I had to let them know that I never felt betrayed," she added.

"What I said was that I didn’t know it was a movie or an R-rated movie. 'Betrayed' never came out of my mouth. I don’t know where they got that from. I’m not ever going to say I was betrayed because it was partially my fault I didn’t read the contracts. I’ll take my responsibility on that."

The New York Post reached out to Variety after the latter published its report with a recording of Jones' quote to confirm the validity of the report.

In the movie, Jones meets teenager Tutar Sagdiyev while filming a documentary. Jones is genuinely concerned about her because Tutar's dad tells her women can't drive and men have bigger brains. Later on, she realizes that they were filming a movie and not a documentary. She doesn't feel worried about Tutar anymore because she turned out to be the 24-year-old actress Maria Bakalova.

Jones was glad that it was just a movie and even left a message for Cohen and Bakalova.

"As far as her, I would give her a hug. I’m glad to know she’s not really in that situation," she said.

"I hate to hear of anyone in that situation. Him, I don’t know. It wasn’t real, so I would shake his hand and say, 'You got me.'"
