Boring Accident: Larry Dale Karasch Intentionally Drove Motor Home Into Oregon Tavern, Authorities Say
The town of Boring, Ore., did not live up to its name Saturday when authorities said a man intentionally drove his motor home into a bar.
No one was hurt in the early morning incident, when Larry Dale Karasch allegedly plowed into the Timber Pub & Grub Tavern, the Oregonian reported.
"The driver did not appear to be injured from the crash, but had several self-inflicted wounds on his arms," a spokesman for the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement about the incident. "The driver was cited and transported to an area hospital, where his wounds would be treated and his mental health will be evaluated."
Karasch was allegedly seen by authorities walking around relatively unscathed after the accident, the Oregonian reported. The investigation into the bizarre incident revealed that Karasch allegedly meant to drive his motor home into the tavern, according to Fox 12 Oregon. The Pub & Grub tavern had just closed for the night when the incident occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday.
Boring, population 8,000, is the sister city of Dull, Scotland.
