Comicbook speculates that it could be due to several factors. Boruto is not in his own timeline in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations,” which could have caused him to have a weird chakra wavelength. Perhaps, it could also be due to the skill level of the young Naruto, which is obviously nowhere near Boruto’s level of skills.

When Boruto started out, he has a better baseline when it comes to his abilities. He has also shown all through the series that he has gained more advanced skills as he progresses. Naruto did not have the same situation when he was a young Genin in the Hidden leaf Village, which could mean this could be more on the young Naruto instead of Boruto.

Time travel themes are always interesting because it bends the past and the present. “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” is set a few years following the events of the original Naruto narrative and showcases the children of the key characters in the story.
