'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Chapter 55 Preview, Spoilers, Release Date: Naruto's Condition Worsens

The stakes are extremely high after the fierce battle in an unknown dimension. Kawaki and Sasuke's attempt to bring back Boruto seems to have worked. However, Naruto remains unconscious.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Chapter 55 is likely going to pick things from where Chapter 54 has left off. Sasuke rushes to see the Seventh Hokage who is in a terrible state.

Meanwhile, Twitter user Abdul Zoldyck shared the preview for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Chapter 55, teasing what happens next after Momoshiki's defeat.

"The boys who met by fate grasped the 'future'. The stakes are high following the fierce battle of resolution," the preview read, according to Abdul's tweet.

Chapter 55 of the manga is scheduled to release on Feb. 19, Manga Plus said.

The chapter, titled "Bro," opens with Momoshiki, who has taken over Boruto's body, challenging Sasuke, Kawaki and Naruto.

Momoshiki's sudden appearance shocks Sasuke and the others. He is glad to have destroyed Sasuke's spacetime ninjutsu and tells them there is no escape now.

Naruto notices Boruto's new form is the result of Momoshiki taking complete control over his son's consciousness.

Momoshiki is delighted to find the perfect vessel in Boruto. Meanwhile, Sasuke notices that the wounds on Boruto's body have healed and he wonders if it is because of Momoshiki's special healing abilities.

Kawaki remembers the day when Boruto expressed his desire to work with him and crush Jigen and the rest of the Kara. He wants to bring back Boruto. Momoshiki notes that Kawaki has been freed after Isshiki's soul was thoroughly extinguished.

Kawaki yells at Momoshiki in an attempt to shake Boruto out of him. A battle begins between Kawaki and Momoshiki as the latter stabs the former with a kunai. He notices that Kawaki's extraction has progressed to a great extent and it is time for the ultimate sacrifice for growing the God Tree.

During the fight, Sasuke observes Momoshiki's continuous attempt to dodge the jutsu. He figures out that if Boruto can replenish his chakra, he would fight back Momoshiki.

Toward the end of the chapter, Boruto manages to overpower Momoshiki and reclaim consciousness. However, the battle is far from over.
