'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Episode 185 Preview, Spoilers: What Happens In 'Tools'?

Mugino made the ultimate sacrifice to save his comrades from Ao's attacks. In "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 185, Boruto and his friends vow to continue the fight against Kara. The new episode is titled "Tools."

The week ended on a pretty sad note as anime fans witnessed the deaths of two beloved characters – Mugino and Sasha ("Attack On Titan"). In "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 185, Ao has Scientific Ninja Tools embedded all over his body and he is extremely dangerous.

In the preview trailer for Episode 185, Konohamaru declares he wants to avoid destruction. He tells Team 7 to guard the Scroll Flash Drive and take it back to the village.

He believes the drive contains crucial intel regarding something important to Kara. Konohamaru wants Team 7 to head back to the village while he stays and stops Ao.

In Episode 184 of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations," Team 7, Chamaru and Katasuke head to the crash site. At the site, they see several scattered objects; Katasuke enters the airship and marvels at the advanced technology. Meanwhile, the objects come to life and Team 7 learns they are Puppets and there must be a Puppet Jutsu user controlling them.

Team 7 attacks the Puppets and manages to put them down. However, to their shock, the Puppets rise again and this time they fire Fire Jutsu at Boruto and his friends.

Katasuke notes they are likely using Scientific Ninja Tools. Katasuke, who is testing new armored gear, decides to counter the Puppets. The new gear is capable of absorbing Jutsu and Katasuke manages to wear out the enemies.

Later, Team 7 reunites with Mugino and Konohamaru inside a cave. The reunion is interrupted by Ao's sudden appearance. Mugino and the others finally learn Ao's real identity. He is working for Kara as he attempts to extract intel from Boruto and the others.

A battle ensues and Ao ends up killing Mugino.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 185 is scheduled to air Sunday. The episodes are streaming on Crunchyroll.
