'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Episode 221 Spoilers: Chunin Exams Begin

After the battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki derailed the ongoing Chunin exam, Naruto decides to organize the exam and cheer up the people of the Hidden Village in "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 221. The upcoming episode is titled "The Chunin Exams Resume."

The official promo trailer of Episode 221 shows Boruto, Kawaki, Mitsuki, Sarada and the other genin striving to get to the next level.

In the trailer, Naruto explains the goal of the exam is to recruit shinobi from different fields of expertise. After Isshiki's attack, this exercise will also help reassure the Hidden Village.

Naruto wants the genin to make the best use of their strengths and show their power to the decision-makers. Boruto is excited to showcase his skills and techniques.

Twitter user Abdul Zoldyck has shared two previews for "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 221 hinting at the upcoming Chunin exam.

"In order to cheer up the people of the village, Naruto suggested that Boruto and the other genin take the chunin exam! Each one of them is determined to show the results of their training and the experiences they have gained from performing missions! Who is going to get promoted to chunin?" read the first preview of Episode 221 from Weekly Shonen Jump.

"The previous chunin exam was canceled due to the interference of the Otsutsuki, and in order to deal with the new threats, a chunin exam will be held again!! Boruto and his genin classmates gather! They are working together towards becoming chunin," read the second preview of the upcoming episode.

The cast of the anime includes Yuuko Sanpei as Boruto Uzumaki, Noriaki Sugiyama as Sasuke Uchiha, Kokoro Kikuchi as Sarada Uchiha, Ryuuichi Kijima as Mitsuki, Junko Takeuchi as Naruto Uzumaki, Chiharu Sawashiro as Hiruga, Hidenori Takahashi as Konohamaru Sarutobi, Shoutarou Morikubo as Shikamaru Nara, Kunihiro Kawamoto as Omoi, Nana Mizuki as Hinata Hyuuga, Tetsuya Kakihara as Deepa, Yūichi Nakamura as Koji Kashin, Yūma Uchida as Kawaki, Houko Kuwashima as Delta, Kenta Miyake as Boro, Akio Ohtsuka as Amado, Junta Terashima as Code and Kenjiro Tsuda as Jigen.

"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" Episode 221 is scheduled to release this coming Sunday. Crunchyroll, Apple TV and Hulu are streaming the episodes for viewers in the U.S.
