The Cleveland Cavaliers’ opponent for the 2017 Eastern Conference Finals will be decided Monday night. The Boston Celtics host the Washington Wizards in Game 7 of their second-round playoff series.

The betting odds favor a win for the Celtics, who would have home-court advantage in a series against the Cavs. Monday’s game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. EDT start, and TNT will have coverage on TV. Fans can watch a free live stream online with tntdrama.com.

Considering the way the entire series has gone, it’s no surprise that the Celtics’ are five-point favorites in Boston, via OddsShark. The Celtics and Wizards are winless on the road against one another, and only a couple of the games have even been close.

Washington escaped with a one-point victory Friday night, forcing a Game 7 when John Wall hit a game-winning three-pointer in the final seconds. Boston’s overtime win over Washington in Game 2 was the only other contest that was competitive from start to finish, and even that game was decided by 10 points.

Despite their inability to win on the road, the Wizards are confident about their chances of pulling off the upset. They had double-digit leads in two of their losses at TD Garden, and Washington closed out their first-round series against the Atlanta Hawks with a win on the road.

“You just have to put yourself in position to win a game,” Wizards head coach Scott Brooks told The Vertical. “When we were down 0-2 here, I think a lot of people thought the Celtics were just going to roll through us. We didn’t think that. These guys are confident guys. They believe they can win.”

The Wizards wouldn’t be the first team in the 2017 playoffs to win a Game 7 on the road. The Utah Jazz did that quite handily in the opening round, defeating the Los Angeles Clippers 104-91 at Staples Center.

In fact, almost every home team has performed woefully in elimination games this postseason. Before the Wizards held off the Celtics in Game 6, road teams were 10-1 this year when they had the opportunity to clinch a series. The most recent example came a week ago when the San Antonio Spurs beat the Houston Rockets by a stunning 39 points, doing so without Kawhi Leonard or Tony Parker.

Most of the games this series have been high scoring, and that’s been especially true in Boston. All three contests at TD Garden have totaled a minimum of 224 points, and neither team has failed to surpass the century mark at the venue. The Game 7 over/under is 209.5.

Wall is Washington’s leading scorer with 27.9 points per game, and he hasn’t scored fewer than 20 points once this series. Shooting guard Bradley Beal is averaging 23.8 points per contest, making 46.4 percent of his shots.

Isaiah Thomas leads the Celtics with 25.1 points per game after finishing the regular season as the NBA’s third-leading scorer. Since his incredible 53-point outburst in Game 2, however, the point guard has failed to reach the 20-point mark three times. Avery Bradley has led the team in the last two games with 56 total points.
