We’re going to hear the “Holyfield” name again in a few more years – but this time, a younger version “The Real Deal” will spoil you with great matches.

Evan Holyfield is starting to get his string of victories as a professional boxer as the young boxer floored debuting Henry Mendez in Arabia Shriners Center in Houston, TX. The victory was his second in as many fights as a pro, both ending in brutal fashion.

Reports from TMZ Sports also shared a clip when Holyfield hit Mendez with a solid left hook to the body and that blow had him crumbling to the ring post. Mendez didn’t respond to the eight-count, forcing the referee to wave it off and award the win to the “Yung Holy”.

The fight was also the second fight for the 22-year old boxer in three weeks. Evan had his professional debut as an undercard for the Canelo Alvarez – Sergey Kovalev on November 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV. The ring introductions were even longer than the actual fight as the 6-foot-2 boxer won via TKO over Nick Winstead in just 16 seconds right after the opening bell.

The younger Holyfield threw a flurry of punches that had Winstead cornered before escaping but he didn’t find a way to dodge the combinations being given by Evan when his feet started to wobble before crashing down to the canvas. The referee waved the fighter off to put win number one on his record.

Prior to his debut fight, TMZ Sports also released that Evan logged 80 fights in the amateur ranks, more than enough to prepare him for the real battle. Mentored by his dad, who is considered as one of the greatest punchers in the business, there is no denying that the kid is headed in the right direction, boxing-wise.

"He knows what skills I have and all about the hard work I put in," said the now 2-0 Holyfield.
