Boxing News: YouTuber Visits Pacquiao In Training, Thankful He Faced Mayweather Instead

Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao is busy training for his August fight against Errol Spence Jr.

Despite his busy schedule, the 42-year-old got an unexpected visitor in YouTuber Logan Paul.

Paul is best remembered for facing Floyd Mayweather Jr. the last time around in an exhibition that drew heavy criticism.

Regardless, the 26-year-old was reportedly thankful that he faced the undefeated American boxer instead of Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao shared a photo of him and Paul via his official Instagram account. But the caption was a bit interesting and read: “Honored to have @loganpaul come by Wild Card Gym today. After watching me work out he said he was glad he fought Mayweather instead of me.”

Paul would respond in the same thread, saying Pacquiao “looked sharp.”

Paul went the distance with Mayweather when both duked it out last June 6 in Florida. The YouTuber was visibly tired but managed to hold on until the final bell.

As previously reported, most do not see Pacquiao’s age as a problem when he faces Spence on Aug. 21. That includes Cam F. Awesome who appeared on the Sports For All PH podcast last July 3.

Awesome did not mince words when he said he loved Pacquiao and considered him one of the greatest of all time in his book.

He pointed out how the Pac-Man could multi-task and credited the Filipino for taking care of his body, referring to him more as a machine.

“I have some biases. For one, as a southpaw, anytime two people are fighting, in my head, I usually go for the southpaw. On top of that, I love Manny Pacquiao, he is not really a boxer. He does all these different things. Boxing is just one of the things that he does. And as a person who views the person in the same way, that is why he is one of my favorite fighters because fighting is not the main thing he does. That’s why I love him,” Awesome stated.
