Bra Bandits on the Loose: Victoria’s Secrets Worth $900 Stolen
Bras worth almost $900 were stolen from a popular lingerie store - Victoria's Secret - in the York Galleria Mall, Pennsylvania, Thursday.
York police everyday deals with thefts cases, but someone stealing underwear is too much. It's not a common thing to get stolen but underwear is not typically the norm, Sgt. Dan Stump said Thursday.
The theft took place between 10 p.m. Oct. 17 and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 18, said Springettsbury Township police.
According to a news release, officials are investigating the case of the theft of bras from the store. The theft didn't involve just underwear, but also more of the high end variety shown by supermodels wearing wings.
It was more like a bra bandit than a panty raid, police said.
According to the news release, the theft occurred when someone took the bras from a display in front of the store.
This is not the first time a lingerie store has been targeted. A store inside Park City Mall in Lancaster County was robbed for four times. In Nov. 2010, 80 bras worth $3200 were stolen from the store.
However, as of now, police were not able to get hold of the description of the suspect. But they have asked people to inform them at 757-3525 if they find anything suspicious.
