Brad Parscale, Trump Campaign Manager, Slams George Conway For Criticizing President's Personality
Donald Trump's 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale attacked George Conway in a tweet Monday night for commenting about the president's "mental condition." On Monday morning, George, husband of Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway, claimed that the president is unwell.
“We all know that @realDonaldTrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted. He barely worked @TheJusticeDept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny?” Parscale wrote in response to George's claims. “Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!”
In a series of tweets on Monday, George shared symptoms for "Anti-social and Narcissistic Personality Disorder."
He said the president matches these symptoms and that Vice President Mike Pence and Trump’s cabinet must seriously consider invoking the 25th Amendment — which allows cabinet members to remove a president if he or she is “unable to discharge the powers and duties” of the job.
While George did not specifically name the 25th Amendment, it was implied by his Twitter posts reacting to Trump’s series of angry tweets on Sunday.
"*All* Americans should be thinking seriously *now* about Trump's mental condition and psychological state, including and especially the media, Congress-and the Vice President and Cabinet," he wrote earlier.
Conway's comments came following a flurry of tweets from Trump, in which he threatened a federal investigation into "Saturday Night Live" for mocking him. He also criticized late-Sen. John McCain and called on Fox News to bring back Jeanine Pirro after her show did not air Saturday following her controversial commentary on Rep. Ilhan Omar's patriotism.
"Don't assume that the things he says and does are part of a rational plan or strategy, because they seldom are," George wrote in another tweet. "Consider them as a product of his pathologies, and they make perfect sense."
However, White House counselor Kellyanne didn't seem to share the same opinion as her husband. On Monday, she said: "No, I don't share those concerns... I have four kids and I was getting them out of the house this morning before I got here so I can talk to the president about substance, so I may not be up to speed on all of them."
George has previously said he thinks his wife does not appreciate the public Trump criticism he’s taken to on Twitter.
“I don’t think she likes it,” he told host Michael Isikoff on the Yahoo News podcast “Skullduggery” in November. “But I’ve told her, I don’t like the administration, so it’s even.”
