Brad Pitt Isn’t ‘Mentally Ready’ For Dating Amid Angelina Jolie Divorce, Custody Battle

Brad Pitt isn’t focused on dating amid his tense divorce and custody battle with Angelina Jolie. Sources claim the impact of the legal proceedings with his ex has made the “Ad Astra” star’s love life nonexistent.

A source told Us Weekly, Pitt has a “huge cloud hanging over him” as he and Jolie struggle to reach legal agreements. “Brad is working hard and staying as positive as he can be right now,” the insider explained.

However, dating is not “a priority” for the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” actor. “He’s just not mentally ready and doesn’t know when he next will be,” the source said.

Although Pitt has been on “some dates” and had “some fun over the past few years” following his split from Jolie in 2016, his main focus is on his kids.

The former couple shares six children, Maddox, 20, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 13. Pitt and Jolie are currently fighting over custody of the minors.

“This whole war with Angelina has really taken its toll [on Brad],” an insider shared. “Thankfully he has his own incredible willpower to count on, plus a wonderful support group and the tools he’s learned in recovery when times get super tough.”

News of Pitt’s slow down in the romance department comes after his appeal of a court ruling that disqualified the judge in his divorce and custody battle with Jolie was denied.

Last week, the California Supreme Court refused to review the June court decision, which stated Judge John Ouderkirk should be disqualified for not disclosing his business relationships with Pitt’s legal team.

Ouderkirk officiated Jolie and Pitt’s 2014 wedding and was later hired to oversee their divorce.

On Oct. 28, Pitt’s rep suggested Jolie’s fight to have Ouderkirk removed from the case stemmed from a custody ruling in the 57-year-old actor’s favor.

The spokesperson stated the Supreme Court decision “does not change the extraordinary amount of factual evidence which led the trial judge — and the many experts who testified — to reach their clear conclusion about what is in the children’s best interests.”

Although Pitt and Jolie have been declared legally single, it remains unclear whether Ouderkirk’s disqualification will affect their current custody arrangement and divorce proceedings.
