Brad Pitt Returns To Work With ‘Ad Astra’; Kids Haven’t Visited Him
Brad Pitt is back at work and filming his upcoming movie, “Ad Astra.”
While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, a source revealed that Pitt typically spends time in his trailer when he isn’t filming. “He’s never late and he always arrives to set ready to work,” the insider said.
Pitt, who was caught up with his divorce from Angelina Jolie in 2016, looks “better” these days. “Physically, he looks fantastic. Brad is very friendly and genuine with everyone on set,” the source said. But when asked if Pitt and Jolie’s six children have already visited him, the source said “no.”
“Ad Astra” centers on the life of Roy McBride (Pitt), an Army Corps engineer who goes on a journey across the galaxy to look for his father. The latter is a renegade scientist who went missing in space 20 years ago.
Meanwhile, a photo of Pitt wearing an astronaut suit has been uploaded online via the Daily Mail. In the photo, the actor is standing with his left side turned towards the camera. He is wearing a white astronaut suit that had a United States flag patched on it. In another photo, the actor wears a long-sleeved white shirt and jeans.
According to the publication, Pitt and his co-stars, Tommy Lee Jones, Ruth Negga and Donald Sutherland, began filming in California in August. “Ad Astra” is slated to hit theaters sometime in 2019.
In other news, Pitt isn’t the only one who is tied to a project at the moment. His ex-wife, Jolie, is also busy promoting her Netflix film, “First They Killed My Father.” While speaking with Variety, the 42-year-old award-winning actress revealed that her days on set were spent talking about what the film means.
“First They Killed My Father” was based on the memoir written by human rights activist Loung Ung. It chronicles her story of survival under the Khmer Rouge regime, and the film is told from a 5-year-old girl’s point of view. Pitt and Jolie’s son, Maddox, 16, was another inspiration behind the film because he was born in Cambodia.
The film is now available for streaming on Netflix.
