Bradley Cooper’s Ex Irina Shayk On Co-Parenting: ‘I Never Understood The Term’

Irina Shayk recently got candid about her present arrangement with ex and baby daddy Bradly Cooper.

In an interview with Elle for the magazine’s March cover story, the 35-year-old Russian model was asked what it’s like to co-parent her daughter Lea De Seine with the Hollywood actor.

“I never understood the term co-parenting,” she said. “When I’m with my daughter, I’m 100 percent a mother, and when she’s with her dad, he’s 100 percent her dad. Co-parenting is parenting.”

Shayk and Cooper officially called it quits in June 2019 after being together for more than four years and despite welcoming their daughter in 2017. Both parties decided to live in the same city and share custody without a formal, written agreement, according to TMZ.

In the same interview, Shayk admitted that she’s reluctant to talk about her ex and their relationship because she prefers to keep things between them private.

“My past relationship, it’s something that belongs to me, and it’s private,” she shared. “It’s just a piece of my inner self that I don’t want to give away.”

The Sports Illustrated model revealed that she’s also aware of all those stories being written about her by the press, but she chose not to care as she is busy with her life.

“I don’t read what is out there. Honestly, I’m too busy raising a child. If they want to write articles [about me], they’re doing their job. I’m concentrating on my life and my friends. The rest is just noise,” she said.

Last year, Shayk did confess in an interview with British Vogue that it’s tough being a single mom since she has to work on top of doing her parental duties.

“It's hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider. Trust me, there are days I wake up and I'm like, ‘Oh my God, I don't know what to do, I'm falling apart,’” she said.

Despite what happened to her relationship with the “A Star Is Born” actor, Shayk said at the time that she’s “very lucky to experience what we had with each other.”
