Bradley Cooper’s First Impression After Meeting Lady Gaga: ‘My Mind Was Blown’

Bradley Cooper was overwhelmed after meeting Lady Gaga for the first time.

For months, Cooper and Lady Gaga were romantically linked to each other. Sources close to the “A Star Is Born” actors revealed that they are just pals who share a “deep friendship.”

In an interview with The New York Times, Cooper opened up how he met Lady Gaga and how she left him mesmerized after seeing her performance. At the time, Cooper was ready to play his his part in his film “A Star Is Born.” However, he was still looking for someone to play the character of Ally who would be his on-screen partner in the movie.

Cooper attended the opening of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Sean Parker’s house in Los Angeles. The “Limitless” actor has been involved in cancer benefits since his father died and it was where he met the “Judas” singer for the first time.

“My mind was blown,” Cooper said about his impression of Lady Gaga after witnessing her performance.

He then compared her to a “plutonium.” He called Lady Gaga’s agent and asked for a meeting. He visited her home in Malibu where he found a piano in her living room. Cooper asked Lady Gaga if they could sing a song and just after one verse, he began to record a video of them on his phone. Cooper was convinced that Lady Gaga was perfect for Ally’s character.

Cooper was very open when it comes to his admiration for Lady Gaga’s craft and they became very close. They also spent months preparing and building their relationship and connection because he wanted the movie to be as authentic as possible.

“The world had to match her, because if the world’s not authentic, and then you have this authentic person in it, it’s going to, like, destroy the whole film. So, I just knew that I had to literally become the real guy, and the movie had to be, had to look like the real thing,” Cooper said of Lady Gaga and their film.

As for the rumors claiming that Lady Gaga and Cooper were dating, a source debunked it to Entertainment Tonight. The insider said that the two are just “co-stars and great friends.” It’s also not true that Lady Gaga is dating Leonardo DiCaprio.
