Brandi Glanville Responds To LeAnn Rimes: ‘I’m Really Trying Not To Engage’
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast member Brandi Glanville may be known for many things, but holding her tongue isn’t one of them. So it came as something of a surprise to fans of the notoriously outspoken Bravo star when she made a restrained response to a negative tweet from LeAnn Rimes, the wife of her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian.
The trouble started when “Real Housewives” fan Sara Hertel quoted a dig that was made about Glanville on Twitter in a preview for the new season: "'I thought you needed rehab. Now I realize its just you.' Lol #rhwbh preview.”
Rimes reposted that message, along with the words, “sorry, can’t deny the truth.” The comment immediately lit up Twitter, with fans alleging that Rimes had deliberately made the comment to provoke Glanville. One user wrote back to Rimes, “out of curiosity ...why would you even respond to that? Do you like to stir up s--- with your step-sons mom?[sic]” Another user referenced Rimes’ own stint in rehab, writing, “I don't think u have room 2 b talkin abt REHAB.”
Although Glanville has earned a reputation for being quick to jump into Twitter sparring matches, especially with Rimes, it was two days until she made a response. When she finally did address the not-so-subtle dig on Monday, she announced that she was “trying not to engage.”
I'm really trying not to engage here! There are so many things I want to scream!!!!! Breathe stay focused on work! :) have a beautiful day!

Glanville’s followers applauded the move, writing messages like “Right attitude. Focus on work and children. Silence is golden at times and this is one of those times!” A day later, however, Glanville addressed the comment again, this time suggesting that Rimes had tried to instigate drama for her new Vh1 reality show with husband Eddie Cibrian.
I'm not in a twitter war with anyone and refuse to engage just because people need story lines for their show. Staying positive https://twitter.com/search?q=#luv2all&src=hash">#luv2all

The couple announced that they’d be starting their own show, tentatively titled “LeAnn & Eddie,” in August. "We are really excited to be working together on a unique show that will give you a glimpse into who we really are, or better yet who we're really not," the couple said in a statement. "We're thrilled to partner with VH1 and the Gurneys to put our spin on a project full of love, humor and music."
