Brandy Offers Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Parenting Advice [VIDEO]

Brandy recently offered some parenting advice to Kim Kardashian, who is pregnant with Kanye West’s child.

"The key to being a good parent is to remember that you were once a child.

"I’m very happy for Kim and happy for Kanye. I was looking at pictures of them online. They just look so happy. I’m really happy for her," the singer told PopStopTV.

Kardashian dated Brandy’s brother, Ray-J, and starred in a home-made sex tape with him that was released in 2007. The tape pushed the reality star into notoriety.

Brandy has a 10-year-old daughter, Sy’rai, with ex-boyfriend Robert Smith. Recently, during an appearance on the Wendy William’s show, Brandy discussed how her daughter inspired her to become a better person.

“God has been great to me,” the singer said.

“I’ve gone through so much in my life. So much strength has come from the things that I’ve experienced, and I have something to share with the people who are going through the same things in their life.

"I can be a better example to my daughter.”

West announced Kardashian's pregnancy on Sunday night while he was performing at Revel in Atlantic City. He stopped in the middle of rapping and said “make noise for my baby mama right here'” About 5,000 people in the audience began to shout and applaud.

On her blog on Monday, Kardashian confirmed West’s announcement, in a post titled "New Year, New Beginnings."

“It’s true!! Kanye and I are expecting a baby. We feel so blessed and lucky and wish that in addition to both of our families, his mom and my dad could be here to celebrate this special time with us.

"Looking forward to great new beginnings in 2013 and to starting a family. Happy New Year!!! Xo”

West and Kardashian are not the only ones with exciting news. Brandy also is engaged, after her boyfriend, Ryan Press, proposed to her last week.
