KEY POINTS

  • Bray Wyatt's name has been brought up as another possible returnee to WWE
  • WWE fans recently saw the returns of Karrion Kross, Scarlett and Dexter Lumis
  • Wyatt returning is not a foregone conclusion just yet

WWE has been showing out in the past few weeks, and the trend is expected to continue in the coming weeks thanks to the simple--yet effective--use of cliffhangers.

The company brought back Karrion Kross and Scarlett on the August 5 episode of SmackDown, while former NXT star Dexter Lumis made his grand return to WWE as the then-unknown troublemaker throughout the August 8 episode of Raw.

Another performer that might make his return to the top-tier pro wrestling company soon is Bray Wyatt.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select recently reported that Wyatt's name has been brought up within WWE's upper management.

"We can confirm that his name has at least been pitched for a return within creative. However, that's hardly guaranteeing a return, as many names have been pitched within creative, either by Triple H or someone else on the team," Sapp stated.

Wyatt was among the surprise releases included in the long list of performers released by the company in the name of budget cuts since the start of the global pandemic in 2020, with Wyatt being cut in July 2021.

After he was released, pro wrestling fans had been eagerly waiting to see which company he ends up with as his great character work would be a major benefit for anyone who would want to get him.

However, he surprised everyone when he decided to stay on the sidelines and do his own thing while the pro wrestling world continued to chug on.

Sapp's report also added that a WWE performer noticed former WWE CEO and chairman Vince McMahon's responses to Wyatt and would "shout derogatory things at Bray Wyatt about his physique."

At the time, rumors about Wyatt being difficult to deal with also came out and Sapp noted that it came from those who were in McMahon's inner circle.

Fans refused to believe that his and many others' release due to budget cuts simply did not line up because the company recorded an annual revenue of $1.095 billion in 2021 alone.

There is a cult fanbase waiting for Wyatt if he does decide to WWE, and Triple H being the new head of creative might be the catalyst.

He has proven that he knows what to do with his rosters while also giving them the freedom to say what they want on the mic and how to craft their matches.

If Wyatt does decide that now is the right time to return, WWE cannot afford to let his talent go to waste and Triple H is surely not going to let him fail.
