Russell Brand and Katy Perry are getting a divorce.

Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage, the 36-year-old comedian said in a statement, according to AP. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends.

Brand and Perry married in October 2010, but after a massive fight earlier this week, Brand and Perry were spotted without their wedding rings. The couple spent the holidays apart, with Russell Brand in Cornwall and Katy Perry in London.

Court documents show the pair cite irreconcilable differences for the split. This was both of the pair's first marriage, and their divorce is sure to rock fans of the raunchy comedian and the Firework singer.
